 A massive league!
7 recovery miles this morning @8.35mins/mile. need to do more of these runs and cut out the excessive amount of eyeball running as WB said. Splits as follows:
mile 1 - 8.38mins
mile 2 - 8.23mins
mile 3 - 8.39mins
mile 4 - 8.41mins
mile 5 - 8.34mins
mile 6 - 8.30mins
mile 7 - 8.39mins.
What’s eyeball running, Fenners? They’re good times, you must have going a fair old lick. I can do a mile in 12.00mins so i can…
eyeball running is where you push yourself to the limit as opposed to going at a nice training pace. essentially you would be running at race pace too often.
Funny name for it, i thought it meant you were too busy ogling womens arses as you passed them, thereby slowing you down. I’d call what you are doing “going flat out”.

thats a better way of putting it B)
Thats what staying off the drink does for ye. Half the player’s major organs were probably only operating at 25% due to the shock of going off it cold turkey.:lol:
Eyeballs out to be precise
10k run this morning in 43.06mins or 6.57/mile. Splits as follows:
mile 1 - 7.41
mile 2 - 7.05
mile 3 - 7.10
mile 4 - 6.58
mile 5 - 6.34
mile 6 - 6.22
.2mile - 6.22
Decided to up the tempo after mile 3. Ive being told that a pint of skim milk is a good source of protein after a run and helps recovery. WB, KP or Kev, have you heard this?
I’ve heard before about the benefits of milk after exercise, ice cream is also supposed to be very good after weights sessions. Kev was rabbiting on about it a while back.
I pulled my groin this morning in soccer. Very sore now at the moment.
hot bath with epsom salts will help
Did ye beat the drop?
A draw. They equalised in the last minute (although the legitimacy of our 2nd goal was somewhat dubious )
Two games left now, our safety is still in our own hands.
I’ve no bath!
Fuck your bath… Put ice on it for tonight. Take down any inflamation and let the blood in to work its healing magic. Some form of deep heat on it tomorrow and for the week to loosen it up. I’d keep at the ice too for a few days.
Did about 40 mins of various sprinting tonight after a few weeks on the beer and it was hell.
Plenty of joints feeling weak and I had absolutely no power… I felt none of these frailties while drinking!!
I was icing it earlier.
I now have a numb mickey.
Keep at the ice for tonight would be my advice and the leg elevated.
Numb Mickeys are not my forté… Best PM Clarkey, rumour has it he is an authority on all things phallic
Another bout of sprinting there pre breakfast. 2 weeks drink free also. C’maaaaaaan!! I can feel the health returning.
40mins of sprinting? You must have went a fair distance?
