The Pretend Fitness Thread

3 times a week is pleanty break it up every second day. Sometimes take 5 days off in a row and relax the body. Your supposed to enjoy the gym, you’ll get sick of it and turn away from it doing it your way. I promise you you’ll do more in those two days in a week than what you’d do in 6 burning yourself out

How are the constant injuries mate

All good, mate …

Any injuries flapping around in the pool?

No

Swimming is low impact

Imagine that … i’ll take it up when i’m old and broken down like you.

I’m a triathlete mate

Use your other hand.

I do love the gym in fairness. Try to stick to a 5 day split and then a day off. Been working incredibly well for so long now that it’s hard to readjust when it suddenly starts to go wrong. Was at a stage about 3 weeks ago where I felt like I could snap the bar in half let alone lift it. Now I’m limping when I walk.

The body is a funny old thing

Go to the gym twice this week. Lift much lighter weights. Do some mobility work. Progression is not linear. You need to back off and listen to your body.

Unless you’re doing a linear progression programme.

You can’t stay at linear progression forever otherwise we’d all be the strongest man on earth

I don’t know how you do it @caulifloweredneanderthal but trail running is hard! Some morning for it though

Looks smashing, where are you? Proper trail all the way?

Yep, all the way. Ran down one fairway on the golf course. Parknasilla
