The Pretend Fitness Thread

Is Sunday not a bit soon to be going so heavy again? I’d be inclined to go lighter on Sunday and then heavy again later in the week

For muscle building I’d say yeah but I just want to cement the weight

How often do you bench?

Once a week usually…sunday mornings.

Have you been benching for years?

No, not really… Chest was an area I never really pushed that much… Just a bit of maintenance.

Yes to both my auld pal. Working off the fitness from running and my hair is magnificent if a bit short.

FAO of @Tassotti: I just told a mouthy parkrun volunteer to button it and jog on.

Do you think my irritability is due to tiredness or poor diet?

I think you’ve grossly underestimated the effect of last Sundays trip to Croke Park mate.

How is marathon training going? What kind of weekly milage are ye getting in?

I’ve lost a lot of respect for you. “Jog on” FFS sake

I’m doing about 40miles a week(65k) at the moment, not following a plan yet, when school starts back I’ll join in with the last 8 weeks of one

You doing any long runs?

15 miles last Sunday, 10 miles yesterday, maybe 13 or 14 tomorrow,
Running most mornings now but usually need to me home before 9, could probably manage 18 to 20 miles on a couple of days rest

What time you targeting, 3.15ish?

I’ve said 3:30 and I’d be delighted with that for my first, but I could maybe go a bit lower alright, BQ is about 3:18 for me, I’d like to get that in my second but the first will be about making sure I finish

Sounds like a blood sugar issue mate.

Bq boston qualifier? Based on your half 3.15 is well within your reach. Good rule of thumb is to double your time and add 10 mins.
