The Pretend Fitness Thread

Good man. I notice that @balbec only gives a like to cycles. He doesn’t recognise running at all.

I give an odd one to @fenwaypark because he’s a proper runner.

Ran my fastest 5km the other night. @caulifloweredneanderthal, @hooknose and @fenwaypark gave it a like. Nothing from @balbec.

Unrale!

That was a savage time. If you did the odd bit of speed work, you would get that much lower.

Cough

That was something that was discussed before, speed work along with the long stuff. TBH I didn’t know I had it in me but I had an empty stomach and a frustrating day in work had me in the mood for a blast.

21:47 was the time for the record

All those miles are paying off. You are building a great base.

Put it up in the comments the next time you achieve something and I’ll consider it.

A puck around is a noble way to destress. I would have a puck around with a neighbour there a lot of evenings…we are about 50 yards apart across a green. Mighty

There is a park with a couple of soccer fields behind me. I normally start on the half way line with 10 sliothers and try and hit sideline cuts over the crossbar, then go ten to 15 yards back each time until Im at the far goals and then repeat with frees from the sidelines of the field.

I tell ye lads something, taking up golf does wonders for a man’s ability to hit a sideline cut.

do you touch the sliother?

Jesus no

My run this morning. Stopped to take photos of
1 frost
2 Mersey

What never happened? I wasn’t cutting balls over the bar the full length of the field if that is what you thought I was inferring. But I’m confident I will if I get a nice gusty day
