Surely they’ve been planning and prepping for this for the last 5 years? Contactless payments on public transport is hardly revolutionary.

Serious question - the Brits had this on buses in 2012 and rolled out to Tube, Trains and DLR in 2014. Why has it taken us 10 years before even starting to do it?
because we had blueshirts & Shane Ross as ministers of transport
Those blue shirts are running rings around ye at the minute
lolz, mullooly played you for a fool
Haven’t we had a Green Minister for Transport for the past 4.5 years?
Woah mate. This has just landed on them. Let’s give them 9-10 years just to make sure
No
Very weak excuse. There’s enough highly paid people in the NTA to drive things like this. The Transport Minister has little to do with it.
Maybe if they went with Contactless Payments they wouldn’t have needed a new ticketing system
ill gut you
Your cheerleader pom poms wouldn’t cut butter mate
I love a good plan. You can just refresh it every year with new dates
They were ahead of the pack tbf, plenty of systems don’t have it yet.
Bus Connects

It could be the new Lisbon
Lisbon is an actual capital
