The Public Transport Thread

WTF, no new infrastructure for cars and no new public transport.

If they delay them 10 years, the costs will double again. We should be borrowing to build the most important of these projects right now.

You get a much better class of train on the continent.

Unreal.

They don’t stop at provincial shitholes on the continent

How long is that journey ?

Did you ever get the Eurostar to Paris from London

On my list of things I’d like to do.

I’ll b on the train for 1 hr 55. Don’t know how long more it is to Frankfurt. Probably not much more than an hour.
I’ve done Brussels to London on the Eurostar. Great way to travel.

The German Greens have big plans for trains including a network of connected night trains across Europe. I used to love the night trains in Germany but there are fewer and fewer available now
There’s a guy called Jon Worth who writes a good bit on trains and train connections around Europe, he’s on twitter.
