The Public Transport Thread

Anyone chanced a bike on the Luas around 6 in the evening? Had to drop a car to Limerick and cycled to train with young fella. He’s been asked to play a match which we won’t make if we’ve to cycle to it. Get the feeling Luas will tell us get fucked?

Dont think crowds are too bad at the moment with august. Id say youll be alright

Going to have to chance it but says on their site no bikes and have heard them turfing people off over tannoy.

Fuck it, will chance it shur, not much choice. Mobility taxi maybe only other option.

One of these cunts sitting across from me now. Must have been on TFK all day seeing that he couldn’t get his work done in the office

it always make it my business to take the seat beside them on the dart, making them move all their stuff and then awkwardly, and deliberately standing on their foot on the way past.

I remember getting the Eurolines bus from holland to Limerick in 1997. It was madness. The crowd that got on in London were in a sorry state. Fight broke out as we rolled through Wexford at some awful hour of the morning just off the ferry. The driver turned up the heat and the pissheads passed out.

Been in Amsterdam the last few days. Have been in Netherlands dozens of times over years but first time doing Amsterdam properly as a tourist. The infrastructure is a fucking dream. The 9292 app will tell you down to a tee, nó matter where you are, the quickest way home on public transport and you can buy the ticket via the app.

Tram, bus, train, matro, ferry all working in tandem… Not to mention the bikes

What Eamon needs to before he leaves Government, is to get it to a stage that it cant be reversed if the Greens dont get in again

If he can get Dublin port moved I’d have him appointed president for life.
