The ref in this camogie game

Old school bit of dirt.

Bit of an overreaction to being taken out from behind off the ball alright.

Has the whole aislinn Thompson thing been forgotten?

The Cork panellist is doing everything she can to try and save her here

What was that?

Thought that was settled? She’s married into Limerick hurling now so falls under the JP brand… nothing to see here.

Nothing in the Cork red card according to the women on TSG. She almost took the head off the Kilkenny girl when she swung the hurl back at her. Even tried to follow that up with a slap.

Apparently “She’s not that type of player”

No more Orla O’Dwyer for this year :sleepy:

Nearly 2 full games without a keeper dropping the ball to the net. Nearly

It seems like a temporary stay which allows her to play this afternoon as there’s weighty legal issues to consider on her appeal that they won’t get around to doing before this afternoon.

Does anyone in GAA/Camogie ever end up serving a suspension other than Waterford hurlers?

No wagon like a Cork wagon. The comments on that tweet defending her and online now, that a ridiculous loophole clears her to play but will probably be suspended anyway, are unreal.

I hate this gaa do everything we can to bypass a legitimate suspension. Happens far too often and is a huge problem IMO. Happened in the Wexford Co final a couple of years back either Cathal Dunbar, yet he starred in the final and served his suspension after. Complete joke

Maybe these suspensions just need to be served 1 game after the next if its a semi final. Just make it law and then everything is gravy.

The DRA made no finding on the substantive issue of whether or not she struck with the hurl. So presumably there was some procedural irregularity in deciding whether or not she did strike with the hurl, which will be sent back downstairs now to decide again whether she struck with the hurl.

What a farce.
