The Road To Cheltenham 2023

Just listens to David Casey sounded like appreciate it could go up in trip. Iā€™d be thinking Dd and el Fabiola for 2 miles, appreciate it for 2 and a half and James du berlais for 3 miles. Gaillard prob end up in the 4 miler which is a shame.

Id go along with that. You would not really fancy any of them bar GDM

Mighty potter a bad price imo. I think appreciate it would take him down.

Only doubt about mighty potter is going lefthanded. Id back him to beat appreciate it. Think joeys is the value at the moment.

Weā€™ll see. Thereā€™ll surely be a dust up of sorts in leopardardstown anyway because Willie wonā€™t run appreciate it, el Fabiola, dysart dynamo and Saint roi in one race and leave might potter have an easy win.

The DRF is the best two days of the year imho.

In general Willie is a creature of habit. Last year Blue Lord won that race at Naas and went on to run in the Arkle, I think it will be similar this year with Appreciate It. I also think Kilcruit could have a big say in the Turners if he goes there. Just was not right at Christmas in Limerick and will in my opinion come on a ton.

Is it a possibility that Saint Roi is the one that will be moved up in trip.

Heā€™ll split them up to give himself a chance of winning everything. No chance el Fabiola or Dd go up in trip.

If galopin didnā€™t fall in Cheltenham bob olinger would have been beaten by 30 lengths. Heā€™d have been in the field by the Saturday. Instead he ran in punchestown which was a mistake and he looks done.

Monkfish jumped badly and ran poorly enough in his Cheltenham rsa win. Willie ran him in punchestown and he was tailed off and we havenā€™t seen him since.

I often wonder if Douvan was pulled up early doors in his first champion chase would things have worked out differently. He was uncomfortable after about two jumps.

Leopardstown are doing a 2 Day Early Bird deal until 13th for DRF for ā‚¬50 plus ā‚¬2 booking. However if you use Promo Code IRY2023 they take ā‚¬10 off and works out at ā‚¬42
Great value
Puts Cheltenham into perspective.

Nicky has ā€œforgottenā€ to enter Epatante in the Mares Hurdle

Says she should still be classed as a potential runner.

The Irish grade one horses whoā€™ve come over to England this year have been run over. Arctic Bresil and Nolanā€™s hurdler in particular.

Itā€™ll be interesting to see what happens at the festival. I havenā€™t been overly impressed with a lot of the Irish horses. Gordon saying Irish point not even sure to travel over surprised me.

I dont know how he has had 25 out of 29 profitable years if he is backing Bo Zenith who was having his first run for Gary Moore at 2/7 and a short priced Mullins one Alastor at 4/11. His betting practices seems like one of those mug punters who would be in a bookies all day backing favourites and having to have a bet on every race. Iā€™m not sure how he can say Facile Vega is a certainty as well and value at odds on. He is relying a lot on bumper form and his performance against Sandor Clegane who is a boat and probably needs 3 miles. I agree with him on his 3 performances of the week although would think Tahmuras of Nichols would be one for the future as opposed to novice hurdling division contender.
