The Rugby Thread (Part 2)

There’s a day school there too but it’s basically tech compared to the Leinster schools which you know of course.

But even that it highlights the advantages fee paying kids have.

Leinster have every advantage them.

Munster have no chance of competing with Leinster. Zero.

The money invested in the senior cup schools can’t be matched and it’s year in year out.

These kids are coming out of the schools built for pro rugby.

Will make up bulk of the Irish representative sides so again benefiting from elite coaching and the Irfu will end up giving the best of them central contracts.

No it’s a fee paying school. As is Rockwell.

The only player vaguely of that quality from your clubs is Hodnett which you didn’t have the smarts to name.

Every single Irish province benefits from the Leinster pathways, both directly and indirectly.

If Munster get the next Dan Sheehan from a Leinster school then I’m not going to complain.

Jesus that is ferocious - only think I could say against it is a maybe the odd lad or two past prime. There was some campaign to get Steffan Armitage a run with England.

You must be simple.

Nobody is benefitting only the private schooled kids.

That’s a tiny portion of kids who play rugby.

Do you not see that this isn’t right ?

I think if Munster got their house in order and started producing good players from their clubs then that would solidly augment the Munster Schools produced players, the Leinster schools produced players and your overseas players.

They would in their eye.

The Leinster schools have elite level funding. No club team in the world will compete with Leinster.

They’ve lost the last two finals kid

Meaningless. Balls can sail wide or just random variance.

Dublin lost to mayo eventually.

Man City have lost the odd premier league.

Money dictates the results of sport now.

Windy West Brits sure.

Edogbo and Tom Ahern

Make Munster Great Again :muscle::muscle::muscle:

I’ll never understand why people are so much against fairness on here. It’s a damning indictment of society and the road we are headed down.

Munster are the architects of their own downfall (and I say that as a Munster man)

Most of the whining is just jealousy/rivalry with fairly tenuous logic wrapped around it. That’s sport but it’s pretty transparent

Hard to feel much sympathy but I suppose that’s because I can remember the arrogant sneering of the 00’s. Easier to feel it for the likes of Connacht (who as an aside the egalitarian minded Munster men are fairly happy to fuck over as required)

This is an excellent point. The cunts took Kilgallen, likely Tom Farrell and tried stealing Aki too.

No that’s what they try and do. Turn the other
Provinces against each other so nobody points out the Elite level players Leinster are handed who then make up the majority of the Irish 19s and Irish 20s and eventually make up the majority of the Irish central contracts.

The game is absolutely rigged in leinsters favour.

Interestingly the spread was far more even this year with the 20s…Leinster only had 7 or 8 in the match day squads

One swallow doesn’t make a summer.

8/9 years out 10 they’ll dominate and that’ll be reflected at international level.

Nobody can compete with their money.

Dublin won’t win every all Ireland but they’ll win the majority of them.

Man City won’t win every competition but they’ll go close enough.

At a minimum the central contrast system should be changed and each province should get an equal share.
