A cracking race enhanced by the commentary by Jim McGrath - mark walsh did a great podcast on his career. The fact Coolmore threw everything at him, tactics, pacemakers, hold up horses throughout that season and he laughed at every one of them was a huge sign of his quality

Coolmore shafted the owner and treated Kinane terribly as well.
Horse racing is missing that nowadays all the same. Unbridled hatred amongst the competitors adds so much to the spectacle.
It threatened to boil over once or twice when elliot and willie were going for the championships but it never really did.
When willie made a push for the British trainers championship Nichols was seething and going to implode if he lost. It was a fantastic watch.
You see nowadays so many owners are in the
Top yards and nearly all the jockeys are riding for multiple big yards. Cooper rode for willie and Gordon. Blackmore rides for Henry and willie. Jack has been in Henry and Gordon’s. Davy rides for Henry and Gordon etc.
We need that bite back. You need to feel that the people taking part really care.

All winners this week for William Haggas and Tom Marquand in the famous yellow and purple. All look absolute top drawer for the Tsui Family, owners of STS.
STS is grandad to the first 2 and straight up dad to the third one.

They’ve barely given him a chance in stud. That Sunderland holdings have done some buying mares for him and we are only seeing the results now despite being over a decade into his stud career.
How did the Tsui’s end up with Haggas? Something must have went went wrong somewhere along the line with Oxx

Ya they fell out with Oxx after a few quite seasons.
Haggas is an outstanding trainer Imo. As good as anybody in Britain.
