Who won the Man of the Match award in the Cork SHC Final in 1992 by the way?
Was it mark Mullins ?
A,He wasnât better this year. B, physical presence counts for fuck all if youâre consistently scoring in games like Kelly was this year. C, Kelly will get stronger as he matures also.
Kelly was so far ahead of Kelly this Season i cannot really understand youâre thought process on that statement above. As @Fagan ODowd pointed out lads are creaming themselves over a very very club performance by Lehane, where as Kelly was outstanding throughout a whole Inter County calender year. There is no comparison between the 2 based on 2013 viewing.
Kelly was AWOL quite a few times this year. His flashes of brilliance se to have fooled a few people. He had one outstanding 70 minute game and another very good game. But letâs call it fair now.
I agree overall he was better that Lehane, but Lehane finished well. If you had seen Lehane play coming up youâd understand. The signs are he has matured. That was an issue for him from a hurling point of view.
Kelly will have to get used to getting a lot of attention from man marking etc. he was taken out of games more than once.
To dismiss physicality is just silly though.
Lehane had a reasonable display in the All Ireland replay Kev. Kelly was MILES & MILES a better player this year even if he lacked physicality as you say. Miles better.
He was very good. But not every game. Collins was a much more consistent performer for Clare and far more deserving of any award etc.
Only time will tell. Iâm looking forward to the fallout in Clare next year after they lose. Itâs hilarious how the new generation are so like the Clare supporter post 95.
Lehane would struggle for his place on the Clare u21 side, his late year form may have got him on it instead of Davy OHalloran, but heâd certainly have been on the bench for the most part of the year.
Currently he wouldnât make a 26 man Clare senior panel

I agree with you. Both Collins & Kelly were miles ahead of Lehane this year.
Lehane is a fine young player with bags of potential which i hope he realizes. But to mention him in the same breath as Kelly this year is plain stupid. He was missing in action until the All Ireland Replay. That is a fact.
The chap Carlow sent down to bail out Cork hurling?
Lehane was brilliant against Dublin by the way, or he did a number of brilliant things a bit more consistently from memory.

Collins was quiet enough in AI semi final wasnât he? Canât recall Kelly going missing in any game this year. Collins only really appeared on the radar after the Wexford game I thought.
Collins was quiet in the replay but his performance in the first game was very very good. Regardless, Kelly is HOTY.
As regards Harnedy, he had a super debut year.

Would you ever shut the fuck up you absolute retard
Thatâs him
Except for the 0-5 from play in the first rnd v cork
I was obviously blinded by Corks brilliance that day.
Whats funny about Kelly this year is that he will get HOTY having played in a role that isnât his best for most parts. If he gets a long term go at 9 the forwards will really start to fire. Just see the pass to McGrath against Galway or his entire performance against Limerick.
Lehane was patchy at best this year, had Cork another forward he would have been dropped.

No he wouldnât.
If paudi sull was fit heâd never have seen the light of day ala the league etc, amazing the way people see what they want to
Collins was Clareâs most consistent player all year, by a nice bit. FACT
He still wouldâve started. Luke OâFarrell wouldâve lost out
