The Seamus Harnedy Appreciation Thread

Resorting to that at the end of your sentence? You’re an awful bluffer.

I actually think Colin Ryan was Mr Consistent for Clare this year. But because he hits the frees and doesn’t get goals his other work goes unnoticed. He had a brilliant campaign i thought.

It would have been an interesting dilemma and probably come down to form which wouldn’t have pointed to Lehane , he only blossomed in the final 2 games. We need to stick to facts here not bluff and bluster

You are a stupid cunt who can’t read all the posts and put things in context or get sarcasm.

I can’t believe how “thick” you really are.

Him and David mc

Lehane has all the tools to be a real top intercounty player. His decision making is his major weakness, but I would still be optimistic that this will improve. There were certainly more evidence of this as the championship progressed.

Lehane was exceptional in the county final, but the standard of club hurling in Cork in shocking. In addition, Sars had no man marker amongst their six backs, who for the large part are all ‘ball players’. Lehane had license to do as he wanted, but will not have that freedom at the senior intercounty level, where he will be expected to conform to team tactics, as was the case this year.

He has not set the championship alight at the senior intercounty level the way he has at underage, club and fitzgibbon level. That is not to say that he is incapable of doing this, because the potential is undoubtedly there.

Tony Kelly is a class act, and is overall far superior to Lehane at this point in time.

No it doesn’t. I noticed it. I just think Collins was better and more consistent. How hard is that to understand?

Collins work rate was superior to anyone in the championship, allied to no little skill and score taking.

Murphy did a fine job on Collins and Kelly Some come back from a man who broke his collar bone in July

Murphy was superb the second day on Collins best man marker I’ve ever seen

Murphy was brilliant in the second game. Outstanding display of the defensive arts I thought. he did everything right. It was a waste of time putting him on Kelly the first day though.

I don’t get sarcasm but my post is obviously sarcastic - you’ve tied yourself up in knots there fella

Yeah Davy knew Cork would repeat what they did in Munster semi final. I think Murphy didn’t get up to speed until second half of first final.
I still think if Cork were a bit cuter tactically they would have beaten Clare. Interesting to see if they try and add somebody now to help with that.

Agree. He was Clare’s best forward at least. Of the awards had been handed out after the drawn game he would have been HOTY, hands down. Pity the way the final game played out for him but still he will get YHOTY. As I said during the year, fast becoming my favourite player to watch.
Lehane would struggle for his place on the Clare u21 side, his late year form may have got him on it instead of Davy OHalloran, but he’d certainly have been on the bench for the most part of the year.
Currently he wouldn’t make a 26 man Clare senior panel
rubbish and arrogant.

As good as Clare have become, Davy would snap up a player like Lehane for his 2014 panel. Are you saying that if a player of potential hits 2-7 from play in the Clare senior hurling, Davy wont have room for him?

Lehane’s early season form wasn’t great but sure Clare had players who were average early on who were superb later . Davy didn’t discard every player struggling for top form early in the championship.

Kerry lads simply shouldn’t be troubling themselves with hurling matters is this is going to be the standard.
Of course Davy would have room for him, just not in the top 26, please read my posts more carefully before responding

FFS this thread is about Seamie Harnedy the man from St Ita’s down in Gortroe!

St Ita’s down in Gortroe!
Never heard of the place.

BC, stop trying to make a fool out of Harnedy and the Cork lads, everybody knows you are not from Cork. And besides they won nothing and got relegated, its not Corks style to start threads on individual players in such circumstances, they have way more tradition and pride than that, your fooling nobody. Now move along

But i am from Cork.Sure your not a Clare man so seeing that you lot were all born in the regional hospital in Limerick!
