As opposed to a Jimmy Webb song I assume.
As opposed to an anonymous number, which is what most horses are. I would have thought that much was obvious considering gambling is the main reason for horse racing.
Great day for the nags with the Newmarket 2000 guineas in about 20 minutes and Kentucky derby on tonight not to mention the final day of Punchestown. Going for Jim Bolger in the classic with Gan Amhras. Dunkirk for the Kentucky Derby.
Iâm on Dunkirk tonight aswell. Fingers crossed.
Freisian Fire , ye heard it here first
dont mention him again:mad:
So folks, all has been quiet on this thread of late.
The derby is nearing, and after a few musings from Murtagh on Saturday to Robert and Ted, there were massive planges on Rip Van Winkle. OâBrien has a mega string this year, and Fame and Glory and Black Bear Island also have their chances. With Black Bear though I am unsure how good the Dante was and will reserve judgement for a while. I have a fondness for Gan Amhrais myself also.
Had a nice punt off Mastercraftsman on Saturday as he was gauranteed to handle the ground. But after watching the race again a few times, keep on the right side of Drumbeat, as heffernan never touched him, even though he may have ruined his boots hitting them.
Should hae went to war on Again, but for some reason didnât fancy it. She has the makings of something very good though, great looker.
Aside from the Group action on the curragh, I payed close attention to Fontwell on Sunday as there were a massive number of Irish horses over there. I had word to back Shark Hanlons in the bumper, but between âSurvival Sundayâ, Autiel, Curragh and Golf and a few other things the race was off before I got the place the bet and wasnt too bothered, until a furlong and a half to go and Sargasso looked like he would win by 30 lenghts, but 150 yards from the line with the bauld barry about to win easy the horse jinked slightly at the paddock exit and Barry fell off, yes, you got that right, Barry fell off a bumper horse, thank fook I wasnt on.

Hes put some amount of readies into the game in fairness to him but fuck me he is fair bad. Not much difference between himself, JP magnier and Rose Davidson. Listowel summer meeting on this weekend.
Got word for LâImpresario but didnât manage to get on in time. Another few tips to come from the same yard though, theyâre in confident mood I believe. Iâll probably back Gan Amhrais as well, the derby is my favourite race of the year.
It sure is an my own mare is entered to make her debut, I have never had cause to get down to Listowel for racing in May/June. Probably wont either as she will probably get ablloted

good game here. Iâm embarrased by some of the ones I missed. Only got 50 out of 87, drew a total blank after 10 minutes.
Very tough quiz! Got 62 out of 87, missed alot of the gaffe tracks. Canât believe I missed Goodwood and Chepstow though! Got all the Irish.
I see Bellewstown is the most forgettable statistically.

JP OâBrien claiming 10 on attheraces 11/8 forecast favourite Johann Zoffany in 8.30 race in Leopardstown tomorrow night. Had his first ride on sunday and presume AP will want to get him his first winner fast.
Good racing tomorrow night with good cards at Leopardstown and Sandown
