The Sport of Kings & Equine Matters 🐐

I think postponed or cancelled would be a better term for it than abandoned. :stuck_out_tongue:

Why so? It has been abandoned for the day hasn’t it?

Will I think abandoned gives the impression it started and was then called off, which is untrue.

Go to the ATR website so and see what they say.

I think you’ll find i’m right for the second time today.

That Hugh Taylor on ATR has a fairly decent record on the tipping does he?
Everytime I check ATR he seems to have tipped a big priced winner the previous day.

He does alright but any selection he tips in the morning is immediately taken to with a knife by the bookies, so while he may claim a winner at say 14/1, the reality is the horse will have been about 8/1 or 9/1 before any of his readers a chance to react.

He did tip up Sesenta, and curiously enough i did too…

Where did you tip it up?

To myself.

He tipped up the winner of the last there in York, Roaring Forte @ 10/1.

I had it backed for a place 3.1 on Betfair.

Did Sariska win the big one in York today?

Nope, 2nd, Dar Re Mi won it @11/2.
The fav was 4/11.

For sure if Sea the Stars is running. It could be the last time to see him run in this country.

Another Jamie special the ape. Thinking he was going to piss all over another group 1 winner.

“Lord” Andrew Lloyd Webber owned the winner. Knob.

Of the highest order.

What do people fancy for the Nunthorpe Stakes at York tomorrow?

This Radiohead horse looks like some animal and he’s bottom weight but i’d be a bit concerned about his age up against some of these more mature beasts.

My flat racing advisor has advised me to back Radiohead in this today. Nothing major, but just a few quid for interest.

thedancingbaby has a couple of good tips in the Bookies section too.

Right, I’ve backed

3:25 York - Radiohead
6:20 Kilarney - Marazza (I would advise TFK’ers to have a punt on this fella) e/w @ 6/1
6:35 Kilbeggan - RetrieveTheLegend e/w @ 6/1
6:50 Kilarney - Grand Opera @ 3/1

I’ve done a few sneaky mulitple bets involving some or all of above as well. I expect to be drinking champagne by 7pm this evening

Emma Spencer is looking superb today…

borderlescott wins it again…
