On a different note, having spent a little time studying the Order of Merit betting, I think thereās a stand out bet in Twist Magic at 12/1 each way. Heās scheduled to run another four times this season, while Big Bucks runs only twice more. Some of the others have no chance, schedule wise.
Recommendation: 3pts each way 12/1 Bet365, 10/1 William Hill.

Lads, any of you read McIlroys article in the indo today about Dundalk? Any merit in having it opened up to run a few bumpers and few bad flat races during the winter months to clear some of the backlog and stop trainers having to send horses abroad to Lingfield and Kempton? Would the issue be prize money or cost? Any info on that sort of stuff SS**?
Itās ridiculous really when you think about it that the āall-weatherā track in Dundalk is officially closed for racing from late November to late February, arguably the time when it would be most useful. While they donāt have to have a meeting there every week, they could surely open it every 3weeks say during this period.
Are they considering opening it up for racing in the coming days or weeks?
HRI in their innocence thought Dundalk would be like Hollywood Park, with high class flat racing the order of the day. It never dawned on them that all-weather racing is viewed as being boring dross by most of us.
As for McElroyās suggestion I think thereās some merit in it. I would go with a full bumper card, most flat horses are scrubbed off for the year and are only back in light work at this stage. Of course there are a few dual purpose ones about alright but Iād say youād get plenty of takers for bumpers there, especially as the limit would be about 16 runners per race Iād say. Would give trainers a chance to get a run into horses.

A few 1m4f/1m6f races would probably attract a few decent hurdlers as well looking for pipe openers, prep runs etc. Especially with Cheltenham not far away and chances for runs in between being very limited.
I see the Bookies are calling for Dundalk to be opened as well. Leopardstown off this Sunday. Utter carnage at the moment. I might have to resort to betting on virtual dogs at this stage.
Nothing wrong with it. Very nearly landed a nice touch a few weeks back on a euro lucky 15, all virtual dogs. Had 3 winners and a second. One of the winners was 8/1. Iād have had 2k+ had the other fucker wonā¦
Surely to fuck the lad is only messing. I know the Dunph isnt the sharpest tool in the box but a lucky 15 on virtual dogs. No one is that thick. If he did it in powers surely Flano or Shan would have told us, it would be like an urban legend in the company Id say !
