Well done BT, I was very impressed. Think there will be plenty of winners come out of that race.
I would have Harry Topper and Mount Benbulben against the field here. If the latter can put in a clear round, he is more than capable of a big run. Ground looks very testing and that will suit Harry Topper, who I think is a bit more classier than back in focus. Dont like fact that Boston Bob is wearing a first time tongue tie, screams wind op in summer to me.
Mac… I picked the wrong day to jump ship mate… 16/1! Have moyle park, jezki , tasiroicht, and Dedigout in a e.w lucky15… Il fenomeno would have put my right in the money but I listened to that Limerick cunt CCHA…
Have thrown a few quid on Nolans one in the last. Had no word for it but find it weird he gives it its first run here. The owner is the father of the Mayo goalkeeper so maybe he fancies a day on the lash.
Tomorrow is a tough day.
3.40 - Think Brian Who won with a good bit in hand last time out. A buddy of mine really fancied him but I just could not see it. He needs a strong pace to run at, and while the slight drop back in trip is a slight negative, I think the ground compensates for this. At 8-1, he is a decent price, in a very open contest.
5.30 - The highlight of the day is the Grade 1 Gold Cup over 3m 1f. I would have been very keen on Captain Chris had the ground being better as I believe he is a genuine grade 1 horse when he goes righthanded on decent ground. Sir Des Champs will have his supporters as will Long Run but I would be concerned that the Gold Cup may have left its mark. I love First Lieutenant and feel that connections choose the wrong race at the Festival. He was very good at Aintree, beating Menorah and I would be pretty hopeful that he represents the value at 5-1 tomorrow. I hope that Brian Cooper (what a talent), holds him up longer than he did at Leopardstown over Christmas as he can idle when hitting the front.
6.05 - In the Champion Bumper, I cant get away from The Mighty Milan at 8-1. Think he is very overpriced. He has the form in the book and the conditions will hold no fear to him tomorrow.
6.40 - Last horse I fancy tomorrow at the prices is Rubi Light. On his penultimate run, he showed he was no back number when runner up to Sizing Europe. He goes particularly well at Punchestown and will love the deep ground tomorrow. At 12-1, he is worth a bet to outclass the opposition.
