They donāt bro.
Did mammy never bring you to lahinch for the day?
Itās very simple mateā¦ Thereās two bulges of water caused by the sun and moon on either side of usā¦ We rotate in and out of these bulges. So tides donāt rise and fall, we rotate into a bulge and back out of it.
The moonās bulge is obviously much biggerā¦ But the point is that the bulge already existsā¦ It doesnāt come and go, or rise and fall, thatās the fallacy of human experience and language at playā¦weāre the ones that come and go as we rotate in and out of the bulgeā¦ So if anything is tidal itās us humansā¦
Wow, thatās deep man.
You could test that theory in your bath if you had sensitive enough instruments.
It hurts having to talk to these Neanderthals at timesā¦ But we all have our crosses etc.
Went out and drove the oul 18 yr old diesel 90 mile just to make sure. Cold out there. Got the wood burner going. Cosy now. Told the wife I want a fry in the morning and a good sirloin for my dinner.
Irelandās been cold too long.
Didsbury is 42 Metres above sea level so we can safely assume itās not tidal.

correct - the tidal section is as far as irwell junction where the Manchester canal joins it
That fat cunt Boris was in didsbury this morning. What the fuck he thought staring at a muddy lake would do to help matters with kids isolated out of school, people dying by the thousand, and the economy in the toilet I donāt know.
Heād make a good sandbag.
To be fair here got skewered last year for failing to show up at the flooding. He appears to be a quick learner
There are no tides.
OK, why are there 4 changes in tidal level a day? 2 High and 2 Low. You ham. Remember now - the Earth spins on itās axis - night and day - if your theory were correct thereād be high bulge and low bulge. You seem to think the water is stationary
I explained all that already. We rotate in and out of gravitational bulges. The water doesnāt rise and fallā¦ it doesnāt come in, or go outā¦ Itās always at the level itās at. We pass through it and it appears like the water is rising but itās not.
Actually at full moon the bulges are bigger due to the sun chiming in in the act so bulges/tides do get bigger.
so the sea doesnāt rotate with the Earth - lol
That was quick
I said tide so youād understandā¦ Itās how we have grasped the notion. Iāll still continue to use it as itās the agreed upon term but the actions we think the term describes are wrong.
you think the water doesnāt rotate with the earth
