The Greens are fundamentalists. Any such group are not good for society. They’re one step to the right of anarchists.

Flesh that out please mate

They’re the lesser of two evils when compared to SF/Greens.

The Greens have a religious-like faith in their core beliefs, that it’s their way or the highway. There can be no room for practicalities for them, if it goes against “the environment”. Eamon Ryan’s suggestion that rural people carpool in groups of 30 being an example of their lack of grounding in reality.

Thats it?

Suggesting that car pooling services are introduced into rural ireland so people can save money is an example of fundamentalism?

There’s no talking to these bog men. We’ve had an unbelievable year and we’re here to stay.

Refusing to allow construction of LNG storage facilities is classic fundamentalism and double speak where she says having LNG exposes us to energy insecurity when the opposite is true

https://www.greenparty.ie/news/green-party-launches-bill-keep-ireland-lng-free

Deputy Hourigan, TD for Dublin Central stated;

“Ireland’s future lies in renewable energy, such as wind and solar power, that minimises environmental damage, creates Green jobs and provides us with secure and affordable energy. This bill, drafted with Not Here Not Anywhere, prevents the construction of LNG Infrastructure in Ireland and builds on the Government’s work to ban fracking within the wider context of the phasing out of fossil fuel extraction. It is an important step to prevent Ireland being locked into fossil energy which would damage our ability to fulfil our climate action commitments and further expose us to increased energy insecurity and price rises.”

It’s just one example of it.

Did you read what Ryan actually suggested? 30 cars for 300 people! People of his ilk who come out with stuff like this are positively bonkers……

Climate change shouldn’t be politicised. It’ll impact everyone regardless what way you vote.

Well said

Why would people buy a second or 3rd car and have it sitting idle when they can rent one for when they need it

Its not an attack on rural oireland, its providing a service
