The most damaging one was the September 2018 one where that poor Swiss woman was killed when her caravan blew onto a beach in Connemara
There was no warning about that one either

Wasn’t a major warning for Galway. The biggest hit was supposed to be Kerry which would’ve been grand.
Possible, news to me. You couldn’t turn sideways with all the warning they were giving out last time

Galway City Council, Fire Service and Civil Defence out and closing roads.
Beware of fallen trees all over.
Dangerous conditions out and about.
Trees down: Dublin Rd at Galway Crystal; Ballymoneen Road - covering the entire road ;
Across Barna Woods on Barna Road - Road partially blocked;
Taylors Hill at Ardilaun Hotel.
Do not venture outdoors unless absolutely necessary.
