wOould one not say that the revolution years had begun with Offaly the year before they had been in the doldrums since 1980 or 81?

One revolution does not equate to ‘years’, we simply didnt know at the time mate.

one would never use the term revolution to describe anything to do with the gga

Weirdos with good memories. Weirdos who can recall treasured times from their pasts instead of plodding through life with no joyful memories of our existence on this planet.

Do you recall the joyful summer of 1996, pal? It started in early May with Eimear Quinn’s Eurovision title. Then football came home in Euro '96 and Wexford went on their glorious march to All Ireland glory. Capped off by the Harriers defeating Oulart in the 1996 Wexford U16 County Hurling final on the day Dettori rode all the winners at Ascot. Can’t recall if it was warm though. Zig a zig ah!

What the fuck are you putting stuff about horse racing in there for though?

I was tending 2 blocklayers on a building site near NUIG and hurling with the Kinvara seniors.

I have never been as fit/strong since.

looking back it can still be termed the beginning however.

Back then we were only looking forward however.

Great days tho, pitty someone pissed on Limerick’s powder, but 96 was a great summer.

I accept your surrender.

A perusal of the charts of 95, Gangstas Paradise, Back for Good, Some Might Say, Wonderwall, Country House, Cotton Eyed Joe, Hold me Thrill me, Roll With It, Here Comes the Hotstepper, Never Forget, Waterfalls, Common People, Two Can Play That Game.

Who the Westmeath minors?

 Typical gola.

That 3 game epic has gone down in Leinster GAA folklore mate and it set up some glorious days of false promises to follow.

Weather seems to be affecting posting levels as posters are wilting under the sun, very quiet around here…

Still warm but slightly overcast here today with a nice breeze making it far more tolerable

Where’s ‘here’ mate? A general description will suffice.
