Reporting live from Limerick City this morning.

I risked life and limb to drive along the banks of the River Shannon this morning as the dreaded 08:40 high tide approached. I’m pleased to say the river was about a foot below the level of the bank, so the CBD should be ok.
Looked to be well out over on the Curragower bar side though.

In what will provide some slight relief to the people of Limerick, news is breaking of severe flooding in Cork this morning.

Is Cork gone? I heard on the news they were saying Wexford is next to be taken by the sea.

It’s rotten up here in Dublin now.

All that will be left by next week is the midlands counties with Athlone as the capital of the country.
