No noddy i succumbed to the weather and stayed indoors. Some amount of catching up to do when things get right again…
[quote=“The Dunph”]How many bags are we talking here? 12? I wouldn’t say you’re getting a good deal there. I bought a couple of fine big bags of turf off a traveller just before xmas for a fiver a pop…

I’m yet to see a traveller footing turf.
it must have been fair cold when ya were out foddering??
We;ve around 6 or 7 inches of snow here in Inistioge so im happy eneogh, the big worry was that we werent going to catch any of the euphoria but we havent been forgotten thank god,the usual unbelievable scenes on my way home from Work in the Jeep earlier there, fellas buried in ditches up around Tullogher,i towed a young lad in a Golf around 1 mile up a couple of hills and he was following me down the hill(around 1.5 miles) into the village but dissapeared from my view with around 1 mile to go,i stopped in Inistioge for half an hour or so to soak up the atmosphere and the poor cunt never appeared,he either buried in the ditch or got shitless and parked up.
Driving the Wife to work at half seven in the morning in the Jeep, should be tricky id say, shes a nurse so cant really not go in,didnt get to the funeral in the end, twas called off.
It is of no concern of mine where he obtained the turf but he was going door to door selling it. And sell it he did. A fine, entrepreneurial young man he was. More power to him.
I’m sure he had a good look around your yard too while he was in there, bet he offered to bring it into one of the out houses and all.
He knew the score regarding walking uninvited around my yard…
Dunph could be in trouble if he has an aul car out the back…

He might come back, wanting to “buy the aul car off you boss”.
He might ask to eat his dinner in it.
This has not nor will not happen. The people of Tour and the surrounding areas treat any security threats like that very seriously. Yerman knows the score regarding this, he won’t be back again till next xmas with more turf…
The roads in Dublin 6 & 8 are some craic altogether. Drivers in the city haven’t a fucking notion what to do when the conditions get a little dodgy. Some lad in a taxi had the car in first gear with his foot to the floor going absolutely nowhere on a flat road.

Fine and crisp out there now…
It is artic outside at the moment -6 sitting into the car at 8 and -4 getting out of it 10 minutes ago.
That would be a taxi driver I would assume?
I have witnessed this, I saw one guy’s spin his car in a clockwise direction at least 45 degrees. Idiots. There’s no call for accelerator use on a day like that.
Our thoughts are with the Link Walsh on his trip from the rower into St.Lukes hospital and back with the mrs…
