Racists

Madness out there. The canal is frozen solid. I’d fucking love to run across it (if I saw someone else do it first). The SCR is almost empty and it usually black with traffic at this hour. Had two close calls but so far have managed to remain on my feet up until now.

Racist

Keep off Harcourt Street. I was on it at lunchtime and the place is an ice rink.

One area across from Diceys was black ice. I spotted it, shuffled across it, went with the slides, but then one of my legs just went and I somehow managed to balance myself and didn’t fall completely.

Some bloke walking beside was leathering through it - may be the best way I don’t know. He didn’t fall from what I could see.

I’ve been walking with a brisk plodding motion. Quick short steps. Slip free since 93. (touch wood)

I find you are as well off drag your feet, creating some friction when walking on ice…

I meant to say “blacks with traffic”, as in the lads selling the Herald. That’s surely ok.

This I have to see. Whereabouts did you see it frozen Thawneen

Oh yeah, forgot to say on the ‘home safely’ thread - spotted some fucking psycho out jogging when I was inching my way home.

The Icefran cometh.

Best I could do.

Just at the Rathmines bridge. There were little hooligans, local types, sitting on the edge of the bank, dangling their legs and smashing the ice as hard as they could and it was completely solid.

Coppers will probably still be packed tonight though.

I haven’t gone for a yog since before christmas. I’m afraid I’ll break my neck yogging out there though

I’ll try and give an update on Harold’s Cross Bridge later so

I can confirm that Dublin is fine this morning. I’ve heard worrying reports that pipes have frozen in Limerick leaving TFK’s second favourite city without water. My thoughts are with our South Western brothers at the moment and hope they can find water somewhere for their weekly shower.
