The who is going in to work versus who is (Not)WFH/taking AL tomorrow thread?

2 mins? You’d want to have the computer fairly close to the jacks.

I was working in a place years ago where activity was measured by mouse movement. So people just dangled the mice off the edge of the desk by the cable.

We’ll go 50/50. Week on and week off or else 2/3 days per week in office. Need to balance it over the five days though, can’t have the office empty on a Monday and Friday.

I thought you were joking :joy:

If this doesnt get top score for likes here, its all a cod.

20 mins and 2 likes, yer all philistines.

That’s arguably worse than the time he did up the spreadsheet

If you give people a metric to work towards, don’t be surprised when they do.
One summer I was in the bank and I can’t rembember the exact details but they were paying staff a bonus for every say ten current accounts they opened. So all the bank staff had all their friends and family coming in opening accounts and second accounts to get their bonuses. The manager didn’t give a shit because he was getting a bonus based on how many accounts they opened as well.
They opened a record number of accounts naturally. All basically useless to them, paid out a load in incentives, and what’s worse they probably thought it was a great success

One last 8 hour shift lads. We can do this.

Surely using the webcam to monitor work is illegal like using cctv monitor performance? Cctv can only be used on the suspicion of theft in the workplace

Didnt Wells Fargo do something similar and used it as a kpi to bump up the share price?

Ya, there’s was a lot more serious in that they were opening accounts and credit cards for people who hadn’t even asked for them

Yes I remember now where you actually got friends to come in and open accounts. Innocent really

A fraud on management and shareholders only. No customers were harmed :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Now that the the pillar banks are moving to flat current account charges could people with multiple dormant accounts get stung? Probably another compensation scandal brewing.

I had to iron a shirt today for first time since April 2020.
