Jesus dont go there. The wife and kids are badgering the shit out of me for the last six months. Am a dog lover myself but with the misses working as well, I feel it would be unfair on both the dog and the kids. Any advice would be appreciated as the pressure is mounting coming into Christmas

Unless you live on a farm, it will be just hardship for you and the family.
I had one for 13 years. He passed away about a year ago and I will not be replacing him for a long long time.

Oh jesus ya. However you have to be super careful with them early on. You also have to buy good food for them. Their joints are precious enough for first 2 years. I brought her too far too early ine day and she had a limp for a few days.she is fine now.
They get 2-3 monster walks a week. They wrestle and play incessently as well out the back. They are extremely athletic and extremly strong even though they may not always look it.
Loyal as you’ll find though. The other fella goes galavanting down the fields for hours whereas she’ll sit at the back door. They are slobs really.
Well get an electric fence and train them on it young. We missed the boat with the beagle cross and he just takes the hit and runs thru it. The GS isn’t as interested in leaving GS and was trained early to be afraid of the fence.
They are unbelievable with kids though the Shepards

My Dog Billy, who came from Oz, died overnight. Absolutely devestated. Picked up a liver/kidney disease maybe 5-6 days ago and is gone.
Found out he was NOT vaccinated for this particular issue (dog version of weils disease) when entering the country. You really cannot trust anyone anymore. Even the vet is fuming, he said its bananas he wasn’t or at worst we were not informed.
I suppose i’m in the angry phase.
