Fellas who shave their balls because its “hygienic”.
the GGA getting 52% of sports funding when soccer has double the number of players as the two codes combined - if the government want a healthier nation put money sports in proportion to the playing numbers

Blokes with moustaches and long hair - a thundering disgrace[/quote]
Bullshite, nothing wrong with a mullet, the birds love it.
id agree - nothing wrong with long hair-
That as may be but the GAA clubs are proactive about applying for grants, if you don’t apply you won’t get the grants. Have a look at the number of grant applications made by the GAA in comparison to soccer, soccer are not being denied money they are not applying for it.
I think soccer is doing fine out of the exchequer anyway, with Fingal Co council setting up a new club and academy, SDCC rebuilding the new Milltown after the old one was flogged, while Landsdowne is getting €93 million in capital injections.
I think if you want to attack the real villains, attack the non-participation sports industries. Funding of the Greyhound & Horseracing Fund, which is listed as sports funding, it’s nothing of the sort it’s €76 million in state aid to provide prizemoney for rich horse owners. That is a disgrace. Whatever you may think of the GAA, it provides real sport for children the length and breath of the country.

Chalk it down. The city was wedged full of them on Saturday. Took me 30 mins to get down Gardner Street in a Taxi.
Got it spot on Dan,that was my take on it.
Would it not have been quicker to hop out of the taxi and march down Gardiner Street with them?
It was pissing rain, I was on the way to a wedding and she had the high heels on (minimal walking allowed) plus I’m slightly afraid of them when congregate together in large packs.
Does this make me homophobic

Fair enough response although I have to point out the stadium in Tallaght is a muncipal stadium that can be used for a number of different sports & is not a soccer stadium . Also Im not sure if FCC are bankrolling Sporting Fingal or Gerry Gannon
FCC are bankrolling it by providing the land and the capital injections at the start, all the academy facilities etc. Gannon is more of a short-term working capital injector.
that maybe what they say but who knows what goes on between our corrupt council & a loathsome property speculator
Classic!!!
Padraig Clancy trying to throw a punch.
is he a boxer?
Do you think that will really happen with Tallaght though NCC? I mean what different sports will be played there, no rugby and no GAA for a start. I’d say once Rovers get their feet under the table, this municipal codology will be forgotten about. I didn’t agree with Thomas Davis’s follysome adventure to the courts but in essense Rovers are being given a big dig out at the expense of the exchequer. For a profit-driven, private enterprise I’m a bit uneasy with that.
