Tipperary GAA 2022

What was the craic here, was this a Peter Canavan move?

No

Yes Iā€™d say it was very much pre-planned to have him on for the start and again at the finish.

Seamus Hennessy carries as much respect and affection in Tipperary Hurling as any of the Hall of Famers.

He won the vital free at the end to draw it.

Heā€™s a Kilruane clubman but Kiladangan have transferred him in?

Stop ffs.

He couldnā€™t cover the ground.

What would you say was the point of it so?

Decky McGrath is a Kildangan man and transferred to New York (it was meant to be for the summer, but he made a total mess of the application form, and it ended up being a transfer for the year - Kildangan made up some ā€˜personal reasonsā€™ story as to why he had to come home and would be eligible for Kildangan when he got back)

Darragh Peters is a Kilruane man who also transferred to New York for the year (not sure if he made a mess of the form or not). He is now home but ineligble to play. He was a 3 year County Minor from 2013-2015 and would be a big boost to Kilruane as their panel is bare enough.

Iā€™d imagine they hoped the long ball into the forwards tactic would suit him.

He couldnā€™t cover the ground and Kiladangan were getting out in possession too easily imo

Thatā€™s clearer. Was confused by original post

Thats why they gave him a break for 30 mins in the middle.

It was obvious when he went off, he was going to be seen again. They were 5 up at the time he went off.

Kilruaneā€™s resources are tight enough missing Morgan/Peters/Jack Peters carrying an injury so they had to think outside the box. Kian Oā€™Kelly went off and back on. So too did Mark Oā€™Neill for a finish I think.

He was struggling with system massively.

I was surprised he wasnā€™t slotted in FF when reintroduced tbh

All well and good, but you have to take the personal reasons story at face value.

But transferring a lad back the week of a county final is a totally different story.

Both should be allowed play and no more about. They are born and bred Kilruane/Kildangan players.

Anyway its all set up for the replay. The Bryan McLoughney point that was clearly wide, and Coach Eganā€™s behaviour on the sideline will give Kilruane plenty ammunition.

Iā€™d imagine Kiladangan wouldnā€™t be caught day 2 tbh

Coach Egan is really pissing off everyone with his antics on the sideline. Itā€™s a full time commentary on the game but in particular the referees performance.

The reason is there restrictions on transfers is to limit the amount of players playing abroad, Westport also have a player who messed up the transfer over there.

The clubs in the USA are notorious for holding lads to ransom, sign the transfer or you lose your cash/accommodation.

Coach Egan also had all the schoolchildren from the parish grouped together, decked out with flags chanting

Kil - Dangan, Kil - Dangan
Kil - Dangan, Kil - Dangan

over and over again for the whole game.

That would drive a lot of auld lads especially demented.

He has to do something to atone for being emasculated by his life partner on national TV.
