Tipperary GAA 2022

Its great radio.

Iā€™m convinced Stevie is playing 4D chess and isnā€™t as thick as he lets on. His sarcasm is off the charts.

Surely Ballygunner game should be pushed out a week. Easily done.

Theyā€™ve a decent following to be fair. Theyā€™d be getting messages in from all over the county and from other places.
Stevie would be letting on a fair bit to get a rise and reaction. He knows the game as they are competing with Tipp Fm

Ballygunner have been waiting long enough and will want 2 weeks before Na Piarsaigh.

Not really their fault Tipp didnā€™t play ET last week.

The great goalkeeper Pat McLoughney was Shannon Rovers? Is his son/ grandson Brian?

McLoughney is one of the Shannon Rovers stock anyway. Not sure if heā€™s a grandson or grand nephew.

Barry Hogan and the Oā€™Meara brothers are the others. The Oā€™Mearaā€™s father is now Kildanganā€™s official manager while Hoganā€™s father still seems heavily involved with Rovers and refers to them as ā€˜weā€™ and Kildangan as ā€˜theyā€™ when doing analysis on Tipp FM.

I think thereā€™s a connection. Iā€™ll get the auld fella to confirm.

McLoughney must have been some keeper to get a few All Stars during that era for Tipp.

He was stone brilliant, by all accounts. And is a lovely man as well, by same accounts.

Twas before my time, but the auld lad has eulogisied about him in the past.

I vaguely remember his brilliance in a few league matches. One of the extraordinary hurling careers, in fairness.

+1. Since Thurles Sarafields dominance ended itā€™s been a tremendous championship. Very even playing field. That Loughmore draw with Sars last year was one of those memorable occasions on TG4 where you really become engrossed in proceedings as a neutral. The Borris Ileagh Munster success in 2019 suggests that the standard is decent too. Jerry Kelly introducing himself to a nationwide audience.

Nenagh will be kicking themselves that they havenā€™t got over the line yet.

The 2020 Final too was great fun too. Only pity was there was barely anyone at it.

I think Nenagh have missed their chance. Drom could be next to break through before Holycross who should win one.

Thurles will take over again though in around 6 years time.

Well, no great matter, of course. But I am aware of many instances of sensitivity over a club name.

What interested me is why you think the ā€˜older generationā€™ in the parish prefer Kiladangan and the ā€˜younger generationā€™ Kildangan.

I have lots of Tipperary GAA club/parish histories but not the Kil(a)dangan one. Must try to locate a copy.

I was playing a match that day myself but remember seeing highlights of it on the news. Kiladangan won it with a goal from the last puck of the game didnā€™t they? The hurt drove Loughmore onto the double last year then.

Those soft townie cunts will win fuckall

Yes last puck of Extra Time.

It looked like it was going to penalties and Kildangan were trying to get on Coach Egan in goals for Barry Hogan (ballsy move) for the shootout but John McGrath inched Loughmore ahead before McLoughney goaled more or less straight from the puckout.
