Barry Hogan had the ball in hand ready to puck it out before the white flag was raised for McGrath

He did. It was before they conceded the 65 they tried to get Egan in.

That last puckout being taken is still a sore one in Loughmore and referee Michael Kennedy hasn’t got any of the 4x Senior County Final’s played since.

In a hurling dominated county 2x results which may have flown under the radar this weekend.

Thurles Sars won the County Junior A football final on Friday night and then went out today and beat Arravale Rovers in the Under 19 A Semi final by 4-10 to 0-08. They play Commercials in the final and may well be hammered but still something to keep an eye on.

Peter Creedon who was Tipp Football manager around 6 or 7 years ago is putting a big push on there.

I heard today Nenagh beat both finalists well earlier in the championship this year.

That’s Nenagh for you. A grand team for cycling downhill with the wind at their backs.

They sound like our own townies. Great for beating the bridge but can’t get it done

Between 2007 and 2020 Nenagh knocked Thurles out of the championship 4 times and still never won a County Final.

Sarsfields won two Minor A football championships in a row with the likes of Pa Bourke, Micky Cahill and Paudie Maher, they don’t give a shit about football.
Jimmy Doyle and a few more won a Senior Football Championship with Thurles Crokes after they were beaten in the hurling final in 1960.

The manager seems to have serious moxy. Those sunglasses are incredible fashion.

He admitted in a post-match interview that he hadn’t a clue about hurling, but yet he can get his players running through a brick wall for him.

He lost it all back in the good times apparently; had to go into hiding from creditors and all

Sounds like a serious operator so.
