Tipperary GAA 2022

I had Niall Moran, Paudie McCarthy & Richie Murphy still playing first-team first team hurling last year.

I think Clancy was only playing junior but I could be wrong on that.

The likese of Alan O’Connor, Tobin & Paudie O’Dwyer were still going very strong right up until they retired tbf. A couple there I wouldn’t have seen much of at adult level tbh.

Tipp look a nailed on certainty to finish bottom in Munster. With the pick they have surprising their struggling so much.

It cant always be summer.

My proposed Championship Team if we can get everyone fit.

  1. Brian Hogan
  2. Cathal Barrett
  3. Barry Heffernan
  4. Alan Flynn
  5. Seamus Kennedy
  6. Ronan Maher
  7. John Meaghar
  8. Dan McCormack
  9. Noel McGrath
  10. Michael Breen
  11. Jason Forde
  12. Patrick Maher
  13. John McGrath
  14. Seamus Callanan
  15. John O’Dwyer

I’m introducing a policy that nobody under 26 should be allowed start as they are all hopeless.

Forget this transition game/hybrid nonsense and use Brian Hogan’s big booming puckout to land it on the opposition 21 and let the ‘snipers in Cooper Helmets’ do the rest.

Not 26 until July. We’ll be gone then.

Somebody should tell Barry Heffernan that playing it through the lines involves passing the ball to your own team mates.

Tipp will beat Cork.

Ah here

There’s none that will do you as quickly as your own.

They’ve a daycent team for that level.

John Devane was back hurling with them I heard.

I saw Dick a couple of weeks ago inside in Thurles shopping looking very well & healthy.

Was it yourself saying a few months ago he was unwell?

Did he travel & tog today?

He’s been playing on that team all year. Full forward.

I’d say it was @Declan_Moffat who gave the update on Dick.

3x All Ireland Winner, Declan Ryan was manager of that Clonoulty team today.

He took over from 2x All Ireland Winner Joe Hayes who managed the Clonoulty Junior B Team in 2020. The Late Great Theo English was on that management ticket too.

Just shows you the depth in strength of Tipperary hurling when a 5th Tier side can command that calibre of manager.

Imagine training a team from your own club? Isn’t it amazing that such a unique gesture could only be seen in Tipperary.

Imagine…

He’ll be on the chipping green in Dundrum tomorrow evening
