Iād agree but sure ye played him in goals for years after that and bailed him out of that mess in the first place
Heād never be accepted as Tipp manager given his past
Surely he takes some responsibility if the setup isnāt good enough?
Was charged in 2016. Rotated in and out in 16 and 17 and convicted summer 17 and then retired. Didnāt exactly play for years afterwards
Have the County Board even fixed the Club games for next weekend yet?
Eight days out from the Friday night game and nobody knows if theyāll need to organize work etc. Students working part time jobs have no idea if theyāll need time off on Saturday or Sunday. I know of counties where times, dates, venues were released for club games months ago.
The Board are a complete jokeshop and its very hard to have any sympathy for the way the Bonnar thing has blown up in their faces.
How many senior hurling clubs are there in Tipp these days? 52?
16
Tories have nothing on the Tipp CB when it comes to treachery.
When did they whittle the number down to 16?
Officially this year when Senior B reverted to Premier Intermediate.
Ah, that would be robbing Peter to pay Paul
The sangwich knife
Colm Bonnar tried his best but wasnāt really close to registering a championship win except maybe the Waterford game and we all know how bad they are. The loss to Kerry early in the season irrespective of who we had at our disposal will have set alarm bells ringing. A sliding doors moment in the Antrim Kerry final in Croke park where an Antrim player slipped of his own accord and awarded a free was difference in playing a relegation play off. While Bonnar is undoubtedly a good coach I donāt feel he would have attention to detail in terms of getting all aspects of a teams organisation up to scratch for the modern day player and that is primary duty as a manager. Surrounding yourself with good capable people, facilitating, being a good communicator and managing players expectations and personalities.
Putting Bonnar in last year was like bringing Babs back in 2007
Teneo must be enlisted to find the right man. Davy should be headhunted
We donāt go outside the county mate. Thank fuck for that. Iād burn Semple Stadium down if that fucking minion from Sixmilebridge was ever in the conversation
Yeah probably similar enough. A desperation play. Thing is it might be a more attractive job now as it is not exactly a hard act to follow and expectations will not exactly be sky high. I dont think any Tipp supporter could have seen him last the 3 years.
It was obvious and pointed out here at the time that he was a yellow pack appointment, evidenced early on by his struggle to fill his coaching team.
A county in crisis.
