What is your obsession with Donal Og all about? It’s very, very strange to say the least.

is this you defending him?

How could you possibly come to that conclusion?

I just find your utter obsession with Donal Og very, very odd.

Is Cusack gone from Clare or still part of their set up in 2018?

Michael Duignan, while not naming anyone directly, was sticking the boot in on Twitter last night. Might make things awkward if they are sharing a Sunday Game studio next year. Then again Cusack has never lacked brass neck.

It was the judge did that I think.

Guess who…

“Martin O’Neill is a great man but when I heard Martin O’Neill’s comments a year ago or whenever it was, I was disgusted,” C****k said.
"Why I was disgusted when I heard those comments was, I was thinking of the young kid playing soccer, 14 years of age, boy or girl in Ireland and they’re thinking that Martin O’Neill made these comments that to me were just ignorant at best. Then his apology was so poor.
“He was talking in the Roy Keane context but I was thinking of the 13 or 14-year-old kid who must have been saying, ‘Oh no. This isn’t for me.’ Now I would like think that the Martin O’Neill school of thinking is like something you’d see out of Jurassic Park. They’re fine but you don’t want them turning up in your garden this evening running around the place.”

He should shut up so he did wrong, he was caught

I think Ewan’s crusade is valid here.

Leaving aside whether it’s appropriate to provide a character reference to begin with, what kind of freak mentions his history of volunteering as an underage coach as a mitigating factor in it?

Given he used his status as an underage coach / volunteer to access his victim, groomed the child and defiled her, I think the judge should probably set aside his volunteering as something that he should get credit for.

FFS sake.

Like saying the court should take into account that Harold Shipman was a hard working GP.

Or that Jimmy Savile should be applauded for giving kids really enjoyable tours of the BBC studios before abusing them in his dressing room. It’s absurd.

Walsh and Cusack are as bad, if not worse, than Mick Galwey.

Much worse in my opinion

Worse definitely, at least the rugby lad didn’t deliberately set out to harm a child.

Yeah, Halvey’s act was utterly deplorable but it was a one time very poor lapse in judgement which had terrible unforeseen consequences. Bears no comparison with the cold and calculated abuse of a minor by someone in a position of trust over many years.
