Anne Doyle carrying a bit of timber there on Kathryn Thomas’ show
I see her around Dublin 2 a fair bit. Seems in fine fettle. She must be near 70.
68 I think
TG4. Now. The Irish RM
The horsey horse crowd havent changed in a hundred years
Right up your street tho… Tipping their hat to their English overlords.
Wasnt the infamous Jim Mcdaid sniffing around there for a bit?
Awful shite
I still have the stables attached to the house at home.
Barrels of rum have washed ashore from a ship wreck. It’s like the Berlin Bar on the beach now. The Micks always had a problem with alcohol.
The Giles prog on rte is good stuff. Think it’s a repeat. Interesting to hear him say his dad was a ‘real soccer man and that he was brought up in a soccer world’ . Proving the point that this thing of irish people insisting on calling it ‘football’ is a completely modern invention.
He had an awful grudge against Busby
Irish people always called it soccer.
What else would you call it?
No idea.
Boring
It was a sporting grudge… He felt Busby had questioned his character and mettle and made a quick decision about him… He wanted to prove him wrong… I think any high level sportsman would feel the same, they mightnt admit it like Giles did…
Great player, all the skills, great vision, two footed with the ball and often in the tackle!
Enjoyable watch… Gas watching it so soon after watching neymar throwing himself on the deck…
A superb documentary
My life partner is on maternity leave and I’m working from home. She’s watching a series on TLC, a channel I never knew existed, called Dr Pimple Popper. It’s about American folk who shed their dignity to (presumably) go on TV to get huge big pimples popped for free when it would otherwise cost them thousands of $$$. It isn’t ideal when I pop downstairs during the day for a tea break. Seeing some big, fat, hairy yank with golf ball sized pimples on their shoulders, heads and holes being popped, while I’m trying to ate a cheesecake or something.
I’d say tis like you never left the office
