Tonight's TV - Continuation of earlier drivel

Alas the Cottage itself is now gone. A great place for a Coca Cola and packet of Tayto after a game at Santry pitch and putt (also RIP).

How long is the pub gone ???

Motorways have benefits but old roads were great

3 or 4 years I think. It’s hard to believe it’s gone because it was so prominent in Santry, it was the first thing you thought of about the area. My own local in a different part of the city which is nearly equally as prominent is soon going to be demolished too I think.

This bit in Veronica Guerin where Everlasting Love comes on is one of the best film scenes of all time.

I’ve broken down crying here. What a woman. Look at the state of the journalist we have now.

The closing scenes are something else. I always break down too.

I haven’t seen the movie to be honest and I don’t ever recall reading her stuff.
Was she a cut above what filled her shoes, Williams and Tallant? I wonder if she was around now what would the TFK consensus be

That’s actually a very good question. She was undoubtedly brave and fearless but she may also have been a touch obsessive. Nevertheless she got completely under the Gilligan gangs skin in a way that the two others you mentioned don’t seem to have with later gangs. Again that may have been down to the volatility of Gilligan as much as anything else.

Vanessa Guerin. Your man Niall Gilligan shot her

Niall Gilligan would of missed

Feature on Donie O’sullivan now on RTE.

I’d say Gilligans volatility had something to do with it
Did she bring her kid with her to court/interview someone some day - gave recollection, could we wide of mark in fairness.

I find Nicola Tallants podcast a good listen.

TG4 is some channel.

Cracking Johnny Cash show on now.

The programme about the brothers sailing the Galway hookers was brilliant.

The obsession the Irish media have with this lad is genuinely puzzling. He’s a guy who works for CNN, big swinging dick! I don’t remember them making such a fuss over Fionualla Sweeney or Orla Guerin.
