Top Gangland Boss Shot Dead

Without any knowledge, and merely because he fits the description of a retired 36 year old sportsperson, would it be a former Olympic medalist?

A small light fella?

Aye.

Well he was getting paid by a dodgy crowd for a while

Did I meet you in the Hamptons last year, Karl?

Twas gas seeing him get knocked down in his pro fights-like watching an elf falling down the chimney. And he wouldn’t crack an egg.

Oh right. The small light fella is in Romania at the moment

Christy fancies himself as Cabra’s answer to AA Gill. You really couldn’t make it up.

At the end of the day, Christy is new money and he can’t help himself. He grew up in Oliver Bond, one of the most deprived estates in the state. He was a bottomed out heroin addict. All this before he accumulated the wealth he did. His greatest handicap will be that he can never enjoy the fruits of his labour amongst his wealth range and them knowing his true identity. He’d be a pariah, and only respected amongst the criminal classes, and that’s the bugbear, I’d imagine.

None of this is true. He grew up on Charleville Road, off the NCR. His father was a dairy manager and his mother ran a B&B. Charleville Road is a very nice street of semi-D redbricks. I lived in a flat there myself for a while. It was one of the nicest flats I lived in in that period of my life. Christy despite the upbringing of honest endeavor was obviously a wrong un but one of his attractions to the criminal underworld he became involved with was that he was quite well spoken and presentable and was an ideal front man for criminal scams.
