Tv Shows & Mini Series (Part 1)

Have indeed.

Lloyd is outshining him for me, the last ep with Ari’s car was very good. E needs to be written out, or replaced with a tree or something with more charisma.

Poor ol Drama got fucked over in the Emmys again, this time for Jon Cryer in 2 and a half men, WTF?!

Just dont like that fat stumpy poof I suppose.

Ah, E has allways been like that, the straight man to Drama, not much of a character allright.

Did ya know that Turtle and Jamie Lynn are doing the no pants dance in real life aswell.

Am pretty sure I posted that up in the things that are wrong thread a few months back. Jamie Lynn needs to get a decent agent, she’s done nothing since The Sopranos.

Lloyd is certainly the star of season 6 so far.
He is the only character in the show that is evolving. The rest of them are doing the same shite over and over and it is getting quite tiresome.

I said the same thing after the first episode of this season and nothing has changed… It’s evolving into some kind of rom com nonsense. It needs a serious genesis to happen. We’re 10 episodes in to the season and fuck all has really happened apart from E’s snorefest with the mentalist. The stalker storyline was retarded.

The writing has gotten very lazy and it’s losing my attention.

Flash Forward! Holy shit. Just watched it on CLD’s recommendation, what a pilot! The first half hour is very much like the first half hour of Lost, imo. Whether it can keep up its premise, is another matter entirely. Good cast with a huge amount of tangents it can go down. I’ll be following this one for the next few weeks hoping for more of the same.

How did you like the ending?

I’m usually quite good at predicting what’ll happen but the bit at the end threw me big style. Which I find strange because it was such a simple twist. It totally blew me away. To have everyone faint at the same time all over the world is creepy enough but that lurking shadow figure walking through the stand of that stadium was so fucking disturbing.

Undecided about the ending still. If ever a show should have started with a 2 parter, this one should have. Loved the pilot though, its a scorcher.

Anyone watch the pilot of Caprica? Its only a few months off airing in the US proper.

Dont think I’m gonna watch Caprica, just not sure where they can go with it? Think BSG is done for me.

At least watch it MBB, it was pretty good imo.

I dunno, the last ep of BSG left a bad taste in my mouth. Now, much like the Vietnam war for Chris Taylor, BSG is over for me now, but it will always be there the rest of my days.

Freaks and Geeks

After watching the first episode of this last night I came to the conclusion that networks are pandering idiots. This show is quite possibly the best TV show I have ever seen in dealing with the commonly seen themes in any “growing pains” TV show. The usual stereotypes are there to be seen but rather accentuate any of the characteristics of these stereotypes they are treated more subtlety and the people behind the stereotypes are what we get to see rather then some overblown idea of how a “geek” or “freak” should act and look.

It’s such a pity that this great show never got the chance to actually shine in a set time slot on TV.

:guns:

I finished it over the weekend, a truly great show, killed in its infancy, and we will never know where it could have gone too. Yet shite like One Tree Hill still roams the earth, god help us all.

I’ve clearly annoyed you. Relax homie. Have a 40 and a joint.

I didn’t but I’ve seen it being advertised a lot. Is it any good?

Give it a roll flano, worth a shot. You a fan of Lost or 24? Seems to be a mash of both of them. Well worth a roll.

I don’t watch either of those. I’ve never felt any compulsion to watch them.
