Tv Shows & Mini Series (Part 1)
How the fuck does one use rapidshare WTB? I have a log in and user name but no idea how to use it!

I know you search for files using other sites but which ones and once I find them do I have to copy and paste to rapid share or what?
Ha! I had the exact same reaction when I got my own account.

When you find a link for something you want just copy and paste into the address bar. The link itself brings you to rapidshare. The next few steps are easy enough. You then need to have WinRar or something similar to extract the file when it’s finished downloading (all the files are compressed as far as I know). You probably know that already.

You’re vastly overestimating me lad. How do I do this? I have succeeded in downloading a film but cannot open it now? step by step guide please!

I’m talking about the whole ‘Last Supper’ gimmick, BSG used it very well with the last 5 Cylons and so on.

Bought them on DVD, cost about 20 euro in HMV. Well worth it, downloading programmes off rapidshare isn’t very convenient as I usually watch these things 3 or 4 episodes at a time.

Seems to be a RAR file? do I just download this winrar?

Yep.

Yeah
Winrars look weird but they unpack very easily.

Here:

I also strongly suggest downloading the VLC media player to watch these things on.

Seems I have to pay for that Turenne, it says ‘buy winrar’ is this right or can I get it free? Where do I click on that page?

This is what I do:

1 - Search for a file on www.filestube.com (search engine) or www.rapid.org (forum - registration required)

2 - Click through to or copy and paste link to page like this one - http://rapidshare.com/files/204067455/Deadwood_-1x04-_Here_Was_a_Man.part1.rar

3 - Follow the instructions and start download

4 - At this point you need ‘extraction’ software such as WinRar which you can download for free ( here http://www.rarlab.com/download.htm or elsewhere)

5 - When the download finishes WinRar will pop up. You will probably have downloaded the file in multiple parts so you need to find ‘part 1’.

6 - Right-click the file in the WinRar window and choose ‘extract to specified folder’ You then select what folder you want the movie/music/etc to go to. Click ok.

7 - Choose to ‘process all files in volume from current’. This option will appear for you.

8 - You may also need a password. Better to seek files that expressly say you don’t need one or seek the password out in advance.

Generally the forums will help you out, also youtube is good for step by step guides. Any other problems fire away.

Ah yess, now I get you. Can’t believe I missed that.

I think you can get WinRar free here - http://www.freedownloadscenter.com/Utilities/Compression_and_Zip_File_Utilities/WinRAR_Download.html

All this stuff is very frustrating initially but once you get it right once it’s fairly straightforward thereafter. It’s well worth persevering with Rapidshare because it is brilliant. You might need to invest in extra download share once you get the hang of it. 5 GB is a low limit if you’re after a box set for example. Also you should download VLC media player or something similar to play files. Windows Media Player is full of problems.

Go raibh mile for all that lad, nearly there now. It’s asking me for a password for the film now as you mentioned above. Where do I go about finding these?

Where did you get the file from? What website page?

I went on a rant to balloobas about this before the christmas. Where did you get the link? If it was from a forum it should be in the same post as the link. If it was from a search engine there might be a link to the source site where it was first posted, or it might have a click to search option. Passwords are a headwrecker. Unless the file is very rare I wouldn’t spend a lot of time looking for it, just get it from somewhere that has the password or says you don’t need one. Patience is the key.

Have you got any decent pc games from rapidshare turenne? Since you’re a total war fan I’d trust you’re judgement. By the way, if your system is struggling with Empire I found a few tweaks that make a big difference. I went from massive lag to relatively smooth on normal unit size with a few simple steps. Then I modded the game a bit and ran into problems that I couldn’t be bothered fixing for the time being. A good Brutii campaign did the job for the christmas instead.

I’m trying to get The Departed. I just typed it into rapidshare-search-engine and it was one of a list of links. In fact the only one that seemed to be working. Doesn’t seem to be any hint as to where it came from
Are there forums I would get link and password on?

Just realised Generation Kill’s Captain America was a Malcolm in the Middle regular for years.
