Just watched episode 3 series 2 of Gomorrah, nice triple cross at the end though I thought the character we’ve lost would last a bit longer.
The missus had the tranny spotted immediately, it took me a good bit longer.
Watched the first episode of Stranger Things. Splendid. I’m in.
Was thinking about it. Worth a gander chief?
Stephen King mixed with an ET feel and a great soundtrack. All bodes well so far.
Grand. That’s Friday night sorted
Recommending Stranger Things as well.
Has anyone recommended ‘The Night Of’ yet? I will.
I recommended it pre launch. Watched the third part last night, it’s terrific alright.
Must give it a look. I can’t recall John Turturro in something that wasn’t top class
Just finished watching Series 1 of Undercover, very interesting plot, Series 2 should be good. Nicely put together show.
Third series of Bojack Horseman is now up on Netflix
Have really gotten into Bobs Burgers in the past few weeks, a wonderfully quirky and witty show
Flying through Archer myself at the moment, there’s a gas crossover episode with Bob’s Burgers (same guy voices the main character in both series). Bojack will be given a rattle after that.
This won’t be popular but 8 episodes into series 2 of Gomorrah and I’m getting a bit tired of it. I’ve recommended it to lots of people but I won’t be so fulsome in my praise from now on. It’s not up there with the great tv shows, not even with the best foreign language shows. Still very watchable granted but beginning to go a bit stale for me.
It’s garbage
Two recommendations from the Netflix stable folks:
Spotless and Bloodline. Spotless is London based, 10 episodes and darkly funny at times.
Bloodline is Florida based and involves an utterly fucked up family covering up dangerous shit.
I enjoyed both I must confess. This info from the punter who brought you Making a Murderer.
Have a nice day now and hon’ Galway.
Finished ‘The Preacher’. Worth a look if you want something silly/violent/over-the-top to watch. Evidently the first season is a non-canon and unnecessary prequel to the main story, so not a whole lot happens and the pacing is weird as fuck. Ruth Neega is excellent in it.
Also five episodes into S2 of ‘Mr Robot’ - better than the first season, some of the cinematography is exceptional and the new secondary characters like Ray and the lad played by Joey Badass are quality.
‘The Night Of’ is top quality TV. There are about 4 different ex-rappers in it for whatever reason. Four episodes in.
About to finish off the opening season of ‘Gotham’.
Watched the first three episodes of Spotless there. Absolutely hilarious. Full of black humour. Your man’s brother really makes it.
Both Boxys recommendations are excellent. Love bloodline.
Didn’t realise Mr. Robot is back. Great news.
Watched the first four episodes of The Night Of last night. It is excellently made
