Tv Shows & Mini Series (Part 1)

I thought it was fairly clear from the ads that ‘Revenge’ was a load of shite.

+1

Obviously complete garbage.

I foolishly thought it had potential. Poorly written, scripted and acted. Cliched garbage.

I loved you in ‘Larry vs Michael J. Fox’, clarkey.

I recently found an excellent torrent which included the full Brass Eye series, 23 episodes of Chris Morris’ radio show, and the three seasons of his other show, Blue Jam. Marvellous stuff.

Got any yellow bentines?

Sons of Anarchy is a top show, had seen bits of it but watched first 2 seasons straight recently, very enjoyable.

My friend, please leave us alone.

I’m watching season 5 of 30 Rock here, it’s a very funny and undervalued show.

Gave Girls a shot based on the reliable references.of BT and CLD, 2 eps in I cant say I am all that taken by it, the main chick bugs the fuck out of me as for her loser bf. Meh, might give it one or two more but not all impressed so far.

Adam is the best character in the show by a long shot.

I also find the T-Rex scenes very funny.

Also watching Luther. Very good show once you get into it. A bit out there but it has a few interesting twists. If you liked Cracker or similar brit crime/cop shows you might like it.

Is The Walking Dead worth a watch, wouldn’t really be my type of show but would be willing to give it a shot?

First series was really interesting. Always left wanting to know what was next. Second series too samey really

First half of second was very samey, but got going in second half and had a nice culmination. With the ending of 2, there’s serious potential given the last shot of the series.

Louis CK’s show ‘Louie’ is great. Can be a bit dark at times but definitely one of the best US comedies in years.

I enjoyed the first 10 episodes or so but thought it just stopped being funny after a while.

“If you like power, then you’ll love Norwich City Hall.”

The last ten minutes of this have been brilliant, “the more I learn about Hitler, the more I dislike him”

The Norwich council parking fees meeting with the military drumbeat was excellent as well.

Haven’t got that far into it yet. Think I’ll stick with it as long as I can anyway. Brutal honesty to it that hasn’t seemed gimmicky yet. Curb starts to get repetitive after the 5th or 6th episode and it’s still worth watching eight seasons later.

3 eps into Newsroom. First 2 were messy enough. 3rd episode was good.
But the whole concept seems a bit broken to me.
The show seems to be based in reality but the news room is fictional.
So if they want to show how a new unbiased news room can change the world it’s a bit tricky.
If they remain in reality the show will obviously not make any influence on reality. If Sorkin thinks his TV show will change how news shows work he’s deluded.
If they create their own alternate reality jumping from the current reailty to an alternate one will be messy. On top of that the alternated reality influenced by their new media is likely to be utterly ridiculous.
