Tv Shows & Mini Series (Part 2)

He was a great character. As was the grandmother whose cameo was class in the last episode. Hamm was excellent as well. Visceral, twisted hatred in his character.

But thought it a disappointing episode to a fantastic season.

I was a bit surprised how quickly they resolved the stand-off at the ranch and expected Hamm’s character to have a big say or be part of the climax.

The last 15 minutes was a bit drawn out but I did enjoy the final shot.

I’d still rank season 2 above it overall but it was a return to form for Fargo after two shit enough seasons prior.

I’d agree with your spoilered piece there.

I liked the final scenes.

The JJL character in it through was brilliant. Some fucking woman.

I was half asleep watching it but was it a reference to Christianity/ the bread of life? I missed 5 minutes of it as i dozed off… I woke to find me man sitting on the couch with the family

I think that was a classic zag as we waited for the zig.

I really enjoyed the final 20 minutes. The juxtaposition of the husband’s hospitality with Munch’s restrained psychosis lead to some wonderful tension as they sat around the table.

I thought it was broken bread after they both did a lovely respective turn for the other one at earlier junctures.

Ah, he was brilliant in that scene too. You’d be wondering did the poor chap still have a bit of brain damage.

Lucky fella in real life, married to the delightful Zazie Beetz (from Atlanta).

While the destination was shite, the journey was good, which is enough to convince me to give Series 4 a whirl. Never bothered watching Series 2 since no one has ever had anything good to say about it.

Episode one was… Interesting… A few reasonable characters. A bit over acted but not enough to have me running just yet. X filesy

I’m in love with her

S2 is perfectly watchable. It’s biggest problem is being compared to S1, most people who knocked it probably didn’t even watch the whole thing

Watched it last night. Felt more like an episode of Fargo than True Detective.

Signing out so.

Excellent season, everything about the show is really well done.

Fargo has produced some magnificent female acting performances. Kirsten Dunst and now Juno Temple

I thought the last 15 minutes was excellent, Munch’s struggle to overcome their unwavering positivity was very entertaining. Typifies the underlying Fargo (movie and series) mood/theme

Yer man behind the show Noah Hawley is certainly influenced by his late mother. She was a well-known children’s author but also a staunch feminist who wrote about topics such as incest, domestic abuse, etc.

Temple was superb. As was Jennifer Jason Leigh. And he regularly writes strong female characters in the police such as the woman this year. They are often dealing with incompetent and weak men.

That’s a very good insight and makes a lot of sense

Boy Swallows Universe a very good watch. Humourous Aussie drama centring around two young boys trying to make sense of their familial situation which centres around degenerate drug dealing/addled/alco parents.
