Sheā€™s basically after inventing professional womenā€™s boxing tbf to her. Iā€™m not gonna say sheā€™d be strong enough in menā€™s boxing, but sheā€™s obviously too good for womenā€™s boxing. Sheā€™ll go down as a pioneer for the sport.

She will. Pioneer for a minority sport in a sport thatā€™s crooked as fuck, that may or may not ever do anything on a grand scale.

There was some gimp on the radio today claiming that Taylor is Ireland greatest athlete ever. Embarrassing stuff.

Sure thatā€™s the way itā€™s gone now.

Thereā€™d still have been 80,000 whoā€™d have parted with their hard earned money to go through the turnstiles of Croke Park to watch her all the same.

Hearn didnā€™t think so and heā€™d know. The fact that he wasnā€™t willing to gamble on the greatest bandwagon nation in the world speaks volumes

Hearn was wanting it on the same day as European Cup final. Security would have been stretched enough.

Some pink haired tranny on twitter who never attended a boxing natch no doubt

Doubt very much if it would have went north of 20,000. Paying ā‚¬120 a scud to go watch it on the big screen? Bringing your kids to D3 on 10pm Saturday night with every scrotebag that the city could muster. No chance Iā€™d be bringing my kids to that.

You should follow this account. Everything is misogynistic. Getting changed next to bins - misogyny, not that every other sports team had to get changed putdoors due to goverment restrictions during covid. The men caused it not, depending on your opinion, ridiculous guidelines from the government

You donā€™t usually see kids at big world title fights to start with.

Liz Howard type over that page.

This is a goodbye Katie Taylor though, itā€™s not really about boxing per se.

You realise it wouldnā€™t just be Katie Taylor fighting, and thereā€™d be an undercard?

Iā€™m aware of boxing events run chief and attended 2 Bernard Dunne fights back in the day, thank you.

Our event junkie Irish public would be there in many cases (and with their kids) to see the most prominent Irish female sportsperson that weā€™ve produced.

The Cully chap from Naas will be our next World Champion and most likely on the bill but there will be no more than a couple of hundred there to see him alone.

Sheā€™s not even the top sporting ā€œTaylorā€ the island had produced

1985 world snooker champion Dennis holds that title
