Yes he was a beautiful footballer in the first group stages of the 1982 World Cup. He was found wanting when the going got serious though.

Heās mid 30ās so he definitely wouldāve witnessed Zidane. Heād have grown up watching him. Zidane and Modric are very comparable, except Modric won more at Madrid.
