Upcoming Movies
Anchorman (1) is utterly shite and i have no intention of watching the second one. I was a few months late watching it and couldnt believe gimps raving about it and quoting it ad nauseum as i stared in disbelief at the unfunnyness unfolding. I also considet the hangover films to be puerile shite, oh theres a tiger in the room, oh my god. Fuck off. Braindead muck and evidence of the decline of western society.

Films like dumb and dumber, kingpin, theres something about mary were real comedies. Films of that standard are few and far between. Hot tub time machine, the forty year old virgin were two passable recent comedies but they have gone way downhill.
I didn’t mind Anchorman but I can understand people hating it with the way certain people went on and on about it, trying to insert every joke into it at any given opportunity.

I didn’t really like The Hangover and haven’t watched the subsequent films. Best comedy I can recall watching lately was This Is The End. I don’t really mind Ferrell too much but I just feel he is repeating the same type of act over and over again - I suppose you could label that at a lot of comedy actors but some are much more tolerable like Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson.

Completely get where you’re coming from. Cunts shouting loud inanities at animals and stuff isn’t funny.

Hot Tub Time Machine was a bit of a surprise, possibly played to the 80s child in me but I found it very enjoyable. Wedding Crashers and Dodgeball are two other recent ish ones which were quite good

This is the End was good but faded a bit as it went on I thought.

Danny McBride was terrific in it.

I enjoyed it but I found one of the lead actors very annoying in it. Can’t recall his name but he was the lad who came out to visit Seth Rogan

Jay Baruchel.

I agree.

I also liked The Other Guys and Pineapple Express.

Don’t go chasing waterfalls. Michael Keaton is chronically underused.

Incorrect. Except on anchorman 2, which I haven’t seen yet, but you’re probably incorrect on that too.

I enjoy Ferrell but he has made some completely shit films like Semi Pro and Blades of Glory. I found Anchorman watchable but it is far from a classic. Thought he was excellent in the likes of Zoolander, Old School & Elf, he also stole the show in Wedding Crashers in the few minutes he was on screen.

He was also very good in Everything Must Go where he played it straight as an alcoholic

His George Bush one man show is excellent and may bery well be the reason Bandage is irked so much by him.

Semi Pro is the greatest film ever made.

+1
It’s fucking brilliant alright.

Agree completely.

Any of those films with him, the Wilsons and Vince Vaughan are pure shite in my view.

And I include Old School in that.

I also think Old School is rubbish, pal.

Accountants lead a very sheltered life.

Gentlemen, old school does exactly what it says on the tun irreverent slap stick comedy. I enjoyed it as a light relief from my serious lifestyle.

There seems to be no reason for debate as everyone is entitled to their opinion.

You just come across as gentlemen trying too hard to disagree with folk.
