Itās not cringe humour and Cooper certainly was not cringe humour.
I felt sorry for him in The Office more than anything really. Didnāt find him annoying at all.
I find it cringeworthy, I take no enjoyment in watching Gervais make a fool out of himself, I find myself cringing. I also find myself cringing at Cooper. Again, going back to long before The Office I hated Gervais, Iām not sure if you recall him on The 11 O Clock Show, but he rotted my nuts on that, thereby making it impossible for me to enjoy The Office.
Fair enough if you donāt like it but just find it strange is all.
downloaded Invictus & Lovely Bones over the christmas will look forward to watching them some night.
I also downloaded and watched The Invention Of Lying with Ricky Gervais, normally I love his stuff but this one left me a be flat.
Invention of Lying was scutter alright-worst film of the year.
Avatar is the film Iāve been recommending to everyone-has to be in cinema and in 3D.
Watched Invictus last night. Not sure what to make of it to be honest
Freeman is astonishing in it, after 2 minutes you believe he is Mandela and it never cracks, not for one minute. Oscar nomination for sure, canāt see how heāll be beaten at the moment.
The film looks and feels authentic, lot of work put into getting the details right, down to the rugby scenes, which are pretty good considering how hard sport is to bring to the big screen at the best of times. Film runs along at a nice pace, takes a short period out of Mandelaās life and portrays it well, getting across the difficulties the ANC faced on taking power through short snippets.
Iām not sure I really liked it though, I wanted to, its got Freeman, Eastwood, Damon and its about Mandela and rugby, what would there not be to like? I think its because I knew too much about the whole story of it already perhaps, that there was nothing new in it for me. However the major stumbling block I had was Damon as Pienaar, it just doesnāt work for me, completely unbelievable. Perhaps Iām being harsh on him, because his role is played up to give someone for Mandela to play off of, and in turn it seems as though they play up Mandelaās role in the Springboks and 1995. Iām not sure.
Perhaps I expected too much, others might like it more. Again though, Freemanās portrayal of Mandela is astonishingly on the money, superb.
what do ye think ?

Saw Invictus last night.
Thought it was poor. Dialogue awful in parts, acting is bad at times too.
Freeman is very good as Mandela alright though.
I think it will be very good,Neeson is always quality,Rampage is the perfect BA and the guy from District 9 could steal the show as howling mad Murdoch!Any handsome Dan could have played the role of faceman though IMO.
Huge furore over Oliver Stoneās upcoming history series on the āSecret History of Americaā, as you would expect. Controversial issues such as World War I having something to do with World War II and Chairman Mao being a communist to be addressed.
Rampage looks the part
A few days after Sony Pictures said it was postponing production on āSpider-Man 4ā³ because of creative concerns, the studio on Monday said it was sending the entire franchise in for a major overhaul without star Tobey Maguire or director Sam Raimi involved.
Sony said the next Peter Parker film will also be released a year later than originally scheduled, with the fourth installment in its blockbuster franchise now set to premiere in the summer of 2012.
The new film does not yet have an announced star or director.
I have to say I thought Raimi done a fine job on the Spiderman series (grated 3 was a bit of a mess), itāll be interesting to see who takes over now on this. With a release date already published theyāll have a serious deadline to match up against. Word has it Raimi tossed the script he was given after going against his better judgement on 3 when he felt the script wasnāt right.
I think the issue is more that heās blaming the Americans for Hitlers rise
Iād imagine the whole series will be more about Oliver Stone than anyone else.
This will be seen
