More like Trump being too toxic.
He was kingmaker and endorsed candidates like Kari Lake, Lauren Boebert, Mehmet Oz who have all lost. Walker looks like losing in a run off in Dec too with Libertarian party candidate hoovering up 2% of vote there. Coming out and attacking Ron DeSantis was bizarre and you can kind of see that Republican voters are drifting away from Trump to DeSantis. Winning Miami Dade whih Hilary Clinton won by 30 points in 2016 is unprecedented. Florida now looks like becoming a red state and with that lose democrat donors. That will worry them. Im surprised Beto didnt do better in Texas. If you’d asked me 7 or 8 years ago who might be 2024 US president democrat candidate I would have said him but his career trajectory has never ascended like it could have. All round an underperformance from GOP it has to be said. Biden will be a relieved man. Republicans look like taking back the house but by a small margin with Senate a toss up.

The GOP will be strategising on how best to divorce themselves from Trump. Maybe it happens naturally through indictments with Jan 6 committee. Dems will be hoping for acrimony and a bitter fall out in which Trump could go off and form a new party and split the vote on Republicans. Biden probably has enough credibility tonight to run again even though his approval ratings are quite low. Hard to substaniate those polls though. Left with more questions than answers after last night.

The further entrenchment of America into two camps. Enhanced states rights mean there won’t be civil war just two separate countries side by side. The Divided States. The end of trump. Not sure did the GOP really want a big win here, the country is going down the drains fast this year and they couldn’t stop that. They’ll be stronger in two years with further turmoil and trump off the scene. Then the big house will be in play.
