If interested in that period of history
@tallback recommended The Sleepwalkers by Christopher Clark. I’ve started it on audible. It’s about lead up to WW1 and it’s excellent. Really well written and draws you in.

Barbara tuchman already mastered that period in “the guns of august”.
Don’t post this clown, he has long been established as talking nonsense.

I’ve read both and both are excellent but slightly different. Sleepwalkers focuses on the 10-15 year lead in and culminates in the crisis. Guns of August starts with the crisis and is more focused on the early days of the war.
A great sequence would be to read Clark followed by Tuchmann
