Highly unlikely crash chased by engine problem. Engines fail on take off, often before the aircraft gets off the ground, without resulting in catastrophe. Photos from the crash site show multiple puncture holes in intact parts of the fuselage

The Iranians wisely decided to stand down. It’s a good day, except for those hoping for American deaths. It now looks like Iran told Iraqi intelligence in advance they were launching a few missiles, launched a dozen 70s era missiles with no warheads and knocked over an American flag at an air base. It was a very smart move by them, they can claim victory at home.
