USA vs Iran War (Aka World War 3)

It’s absolutely rocketing up in price here

His stance on Israel hasn’t changed. He’s always been like that.

So why was the Iraq war the main deciding factor in the 2004 and 2008 elections and a very major factor in 2016?

Because the America were balls deep in a war over there at the time.
Where a politician stands on Israel is not even a top 10 issue.

He hasnt,he was always sympathetic to them but hes gone full retard now.

If you read back over your posts on Russia’s war on Ukraine and on other issues, they read like a Russia Today propagandist.

So they’re clearly your heroes too.

You were a sneaking regarder for Russia for years, now you suddenly jump ship when the US decides to attack Iran.

You’re very confused.

And what is happening now?

It’s Trump’s war. Israel are riding shotgun. Did the Iraq and Afghanistan wars create a wave of anti-British sentiment?

This is one of the most misunderstood points on US politics and foreign policy. Israel wouldn’t exist without the US, they’ve been supported by the US financially and militarily since 1949. The reason the US has done this is purely out of self interest, Israel represents US interests in the region. If that were to change Israel would be abandoned.

It is true that AIPAC are a big lobby group, but one of many and by no means one of the biggest PACs or super PACs.

Maher was always a cunt. @Cheasty’s ability to judge a person is utterly elite.

I wouldn’t have thought it was the main issue in 08 and 16

9/11 was the dominant factor, the US was attacked on it’s own soil and thousands died, the thirst for revenge lasted for at least a decade after that. The dominant sentiment during that decade was after what “they” did to us we need to go and kick some ass. Who the “they” was didn’t matter too much at the time.

I asked you what is happening now. There is a war happening now. A war Trump started. At the demands of Israel.

The batshit Iraq war cast a mammoth shadow over US poltics for well over a decade, arguably it still does.

Why would an even more batshit war on Iran, which threatens to have much greater consequences than the horrific consequences of Iraq, not have major consequences for US politics?

Britain didn’t lead the US into war anywhere. Britain was America’s dutiful puppy.

That is not what Israel is. Israel holds the whip hand in the US-Israel relationship. This is going to become a major issue in America because Israel is blowing massive holes in America’s budget which means Americans go without basic healthcare and Israel is leading America into batshit wars. The Trump regime is more than willing to wage these batshit wars, but it has also flagrantly lied because it framed itself as “America First”.

In reality it is Israel First.

I really hope youre right

Iran obviously still have a level of sophistication / organisation in their attacks. The launches still seem to be pretty targetted as opposed to just firing off what they can.

Nope. GW Bush got re-elected in 2004 while in the midst of Middle East wars.
It didn’t damage his campaign.

It was the main reason Obama won the nomination and won the election. It was the centrepiece of Obama’s campaign.

It was a major issue Trump won in 2016. Another major issue Trump ran on in 2016 was Benghazi and Libya when he tried to frame Hillary Clinton as the devil incarnate who had “murdered” American servicepeople. And the nutters bought it.

And how is he viewed for it now? How was he viewed for it by 2008?

You don’t, because if I’m right, and I am, we’ll likely have President Tucker Carlson.

And you don’t want that.

How someone is viewed decades later hardly matters. Trump will be dead in 20 years.
