That’s adults and excludes some GP doses. Probably more like 60%.
45% of the total pop. Having a younger population helps, we aren’t aggressive enough on Pfizer.

They’re horsing the Pfizer out here.
Getting the second jab Sunday week. That’s the bare 8 weeks. Giddy as fuck. Hup outta that.
317k of Pfizer due in next week. It appears as though the average is remaining around 282k @Copper_pipe, this is just making up for last week’s shortfall.
Is there any hope of them hitting the 400k weekly target they said they would in June.
250-290k seems to be the limit presently.
Well it was over 300k last week.
This was from last week where it said 250-280k doses were expected to be administered.
Those aged 30-39 will be asked to register for their Covid-19 vaccination next week, despite supply shortages which have continued to hamper the programme, it is expected.
Ministers were updated on the vaccination progress at Wednesday’s Cabinet meeting, and were told that pharmacies will soon begin to assist the programme by administering the Johnson&Johnson (J&J) vaccine, and also offering the Pfizer shot in communities that are far away from the nearest vaccination centre.
The HSE expects to administer between 250,000-280,000 vaccine doses this week, Ministers were told, with sources suggesting it will be nearer the higher figure.
It was 300k in the end according to Donnelly.
Makes sense. There 260k on the ECDC portal with GPs still giving them out as well in surgery and these aren’t included.
Seems very confusing, think the intended target is 250-290k this week according to what is being reported.
The last day we had an official figure is the 11th May and that was 1.92m - that’s 33 days ago. What’s the latest official figure now? Possibly 3.1m?
The pledge they made was 2m doses done in June alone, doesn’t look like they will remotely near that figure.
It’s 3.1m on the ECDC site. That’s missing about one months of GP data and around 200,000 overall. So we’re on about 3.3m.
We don’t really seem to know either way. The 3 millionth jab was only given out a few days ago so I would say somewhere between 3.1-3.2m jabs is the most accurate estimation of where we are at present.
Even if you go with the most optimistic current assessment outlook, they’ll not be getting anywhere near their June targets.
We are slap bang in the middle of June and nobody under 40 has been able to register yet.
It was 3.1m by last Wednesday based on HSE estimates of centrally administered plus GP.
That tied to 2.921m on the ECDC site, which excludes GP doses, so in or around 180k GP doses missing on the ECDC site by the end of last week.
The ECDC site has updated for the weekend to 3.1m. So add that 180k- it’s 3.2m/3.3m.
Fair enough so.
Still not going to get anywhere near the June targets though.

Another failure
The Taoiseach has said the Health Service Executive remains on target to vaccinate 450,000 people each week by mid-June and reach overall targets for the population once vaccine supply continues to arrive in an orderly manner.
82% first doses was so certainly not.
They were meant to be doing 450k a week by now. They are nowhere near that.
Looks likely that the portal will only be opening to u40s probably next week which would like mean that the first tranche of u40s will probably only be getting their first jabs in the last few days of the month.
It’s hard to argue that they have not missed their targets emphatically yet again.
Not sure why you’d post that chart?
Why?
That’s their commitment. The same way they commited to 82% of adults being vaccinated and 55% fully vaccinated.
The same way they committed a few weeks back to doing 400-500k a week by mid June.
Do you have an issue with accountability?
It’s kind of pointless though. The chart looks to be from early March.
In that case you are overestimating AZ supply (and how quickly it will come in) and J&J. Conversely, you are missing out on the additional 500k from Pfizer.
In terms of Martin’s statement on 450k- that doesn’t even correlate to the graph you are showing.
I think a more pointed criticism of them is why they continue to hold back 50% or Pfizer doses.
I know it doesn’t because after each and every target the govt has failed to meet, they then revise their target, miss it - promise to make up for it with revised targets, miss those too and keep on missing them.
Here’s Varadkar last month.
Another missed target.
